In Everything Give Thanks

Thank Him for your blessings.....

"And those who have reason to be thankful should continually sing praises to the Lord". James 5:13 NLT

Good morning Brothas ansd Sistas,
God's word makes it clear that a wise heart is a thankful heart. Our heavenly Father has blessed us beyond measure, and we owe Him everything, including our thanks. "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I Thessalonians 5:18"

Tea Time with Tabby- "Called To Be Thankful"

Good Morning Sistas,

I am sure that many of you are busy and are trying to get all the things on your list checked off to make the perfect family Thanksgiving meal. Yet I am going to challenge you to add something to your already long list of must haves, and must do's. I want share a brew with you that I believe is relevant in these times especially considering what is going on in our backyards, across the country and across the oceans.

The Cost of Discipleship - Are We There Yet?

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."  Luke 14:26

GM Friends of God,

I just recently heard a message preached on, "The Cost Of Discipleship." Friends, it was a great massage and food for thought. Luke 14:26 says, "If any man comes to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

He Has Been Faithful So Let's Be Faithful

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise : be thankful unto him and bless his holy name."  Psalms 100: 4

Praise the Lord, Brothas and Sistas,

As we give thanks for all He has done this Thanksgiving, let's give God all the praise and glory for what He has done the entire year. Let's praise Him for how He has kept us, protected us, provided for us and listened to every one of our prayers.

As I listened to the words of the song God spoke to my heart and I began to mediate on all of His goodness that He has graced me with and how He keeps me and protects me everyday from all the storms of life.

Where Lies Your Treasure?

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11

Good Morning Saints,

Most people say we can easily trace a persons heart by taking notice of where their affections lie; where their heart is. Truth is, "where your treasure is there is where your heart will be also."The biblical word for “heart,” is described as the inner aspect of a man, made of three parts all together, with the primary part: 1) Mental Process, which is the major part (where action and reaction take place), which is to lead a person in their life.

Gods Agenda or Yours?

Good Morning Friends of God,

"The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me,and have listened. I do not rebel or turn away. ...Therefore I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will triumph." Isaiah 50:5,7

Friends, we will never be sensitive to the voice God if we have our own personal agenda to which we are already committed. When we choose not to listen to the voice of God we become self - sufficient and the result of self-sufficiency is torment.

Rolling With The Posse

Poetic Pastries- Rolling With The Posse

Sit down, take a seat and meditate a bit on this because what I'm about to say I don't want you to miss…
Listen closely as I tell you about the KOOLEST Man I know,
He has His posse with him everywhere He goes…
Now there are stories about Him both near and far,
Some true; some false depending on what they are…
Now John 9:5-7 tells about His healing of the blind,
Just imagining this really blows my mind…
Then John 8:6-7 teaches me how forgiving He is,

The Necessity of Prayer

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.." Ephesians 3:20

Good Morning,

Most of us have more hurts, habits, and hangups than we care to admit to. And most of us struggle with going to God in prayer because we don't feel worthy enough to enter into His presence. We disqualify ourselves when we let our past be the determining factor in whether or not we are worthy of receiving from God. This is religious tradition.

Slow To Wrath

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God” (James 1:19-20 KJV).

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

I was doing my devotional this morning and the topic was anger. It made me take inventory of how I currently handle anger. But it also made me think back on how I handled it as a parent. I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t handle it so great. I let my temper get the best of me.

Why Did I Get Married?

Slow Jam

Was it because of true love?
Was it because of the sex?
Was it for financial security?
Was it because of family pressure?
Was it because of pregnancy?

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Gods' idea of marriage is based on a covenant not a contract. You see the covenant is based on love and loyalty as we say in our vows "for as long as you both shall live." Lately, I have heard many spouses (male and female) talk about how dissatisfied they are in their marriages.

The Brew of Prayer

Our verse today is from Philippians 4:6 -7:  "Don't worry about anything instead pray about everything. Then you will experience God's peace , which exceeds anything you can understand. His Peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

Good Morning Sistas,

I hope and pray that you each are experiencing the great peace that comes from being in communion and walking with the Father.  I pray that each of you will be greatly blessed by our Tea Time together today.

The Paradigm Shift - Changing Our Way of Thinking

Good Morning Friends of God,

"Bless be the God and Father of  our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should  be holy and without blame before him in love.." (Ephesians 1:3-4)

Friends, is there a battle within you? let's Make it Personal: we each know what battle is within ourselves.

Genuine Love Restores

Gal 6.1"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself."
Good morning Sistas,
So many times when we allow our flesh rather than the word to be our compass we find ourselves in a place where we never intended to be.

Words To Live By - Sistas, Don't Lose Heart

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
II Corinthians 4:16-17
"Count it all joy when you fall into different temptations." (James 1:2-6)
Good morning Friendss,
I know that things have not been easy in this life.

Inside Job

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom." II Corinthians 3:17

Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,

True feedom can only be found in a relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. In the Hebrew language the word for salvation is yesha. Its origin is from yasha. Yasha has this meaning: "to be wide, or roomy - a broad and spacious place." Yasha communicates the idea of freedom. It is "liberation from confinement, constriction, and limitation.

The Palm Tree

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Psalm 92:12-15

"By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof,

Never Alone

" But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you." Isaiah 43:1-2

Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,

My heart is in the place of praise and worship this morning knowing that even in the midst of all of the pain and suffering, the hurt and the disappointment I suffered I wasn’t by myself!

Foreplay Beyond The Bedroom Conclusion

The Song of Songs, which is Solomon's.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth!
For your love is better than wine;
your anointing oils are fragrant;
your name is oil poured out;
therefore virgins love you.
Draw me after you; let us run.
The king has brought me into his chambers.
Song of Solomon 1: 1- 4

Brothas and Sistas,

I don’t know what you guys think but the Song of Solomon is pretty HOT!! It’s the perfect view of an intimate relationship between a husband and wife.

Tea Time With Tabby "Discipleship Not Me! Really Yes You! Brew for the Day"

Matthew 28:18-20 Full Chapter

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Good Morning and welcome to "Tea Time with Tabby"..............................

I have missed you for the past two weeks and my sincere apologies.

Never Alone - The Blessing of Friendship

Good Morning Friends of God,

"Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?" Proverbs 20:6

Friends, I had to share this with you, because it's so true. This came from an old book I have entitled "Never Alone", Gods Word for Single Adults. In the books the author states, "Friends are not temporary help while you're waiting for a date. Friends are not a plan to fall back on when nothing better comes along. Friends deserve your loyalty and respect no matter what the dating prospects happen to be.

Do You Have Your Red Dress On?

Good Morning Friends of God,

I went to a conference sometime ago and there was a speaker there who was dressed in all red  and she was wearing it well. That Sista looked good!! But when she came forth she told us her topic which was, "I Have My Red Dress On." As she began to speak I realized that she was wearing it as a symbol which related to us being covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Friends, all of us needed to be covered by Jesus blood at some point in our lives.

The Great Exchange

The Great Exchange

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable & perfect, will of God." Romans 12:1, 2

Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,

Many times we are afraid of of committing ourselves to doing those things that He has asked us to do.

Are You Giving God Genuine Worship?

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25 NIV

"To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God." William Temple

The Importance of Foreplay in Marital Intimacy Part I

We apologize for not continuing with our series. We were on vacation last week. It was Babe's birthday and our dear Sista was experiencing illness and the birth of her newest grandson last week. Please keep her health and her family in prayer. Lord willing they will continue the series next week.

Sexy Old Skool

"Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

Confession Is Good For The Soul

"Create in me a clean heart O God. And renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
Read Psalm 51
Good morning to my precious Brothas and Sistas,
Is there someone you need to apologize to?

Tea Time with Tabby "How Do We Measure Up To Those In This Story In Our Own Day to Day?"

The Parable of the Good Samaritan:

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

Morning Devotions - "Behold His Majesty"

"When I consider the heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon & the stars which thou has ordained, what is man that thou art mindful of him? For he has made him a little lower than the angels and crowned him with glory." Psalm 8:3

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

When we consider our source and the work we have seen thus far everything else is a just a resource. But when we consider the Creator of all, His works and all that He can do far greater than our carnal thinking, His spiritual works are majestic and at times we can't even comprehend them.

What Price Will You Pay For Disobedience?

"But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD."

Good Morning Saints,

True significance is not just in reaching our destination but its' significance lies in the stops (decisions) made along the way. Jonah made a decision to blatantly disobey God. The word of God says that, "After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the presence of the LORD.

We Are God's Beloved

Good Morning Friends of God,

"You are my dearest [daughter/son], the one I love best. Whenever I mention your name, I think of you with love. My heart goes out to you." Jeremiah 51:20)

"It was I who taught [you] to walk, taking [you] by the arms; I drew [you] to me with affection and love . I picked [you] up and held [you] to my cheek; I lifted the yoke from [your] neck and bent down to feed [you]." Hosea 11:3-4

Friends, sometimes we find it very hard to take hold of the fact that we are God's beloved.

"Let's Take The Position Of Worship - He Wants It All"

"And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word."Luke 10:39

Good morning Sistas,

Sistas, let's take the position of Mary of Bethany. She is an example for every Christian woman. Every time she is mentioned in the bible, she is said to be at the feet of Jesus. Luke 10:39 says,"And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word." John 11:32 says,"Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hast been here, my brother had not died.

Man Up - Who Is Thirsty For God?

"Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.These things I remember as I pour out my soul. How I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng." Psalm 42:4, 5
"God has created each of us with a thirst that only He can quench.

Brothas and Sistas, What Do Your Marital Vows Really Mean To You? - In Sickness and In Health

"With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2
I, (name), take you (name), to be my lawfully wedded wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer,in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

TeaTime With Tabby - Forgiveness Part VI

"And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Matthew 6:12

    • Forgiveness. Does God really expect it form us?
    • What is in it to forgive those who have hurt me?
    • What does God say in His word about forgiveness?
    • Do any of you hold onto unforgiveness?

    Good morning Sistas,

I hope you each have your cup of tea ready to be filled with God's great and gracious words of love and forgiveness. I don't know about you but my cup needs to be refilled with some of His Healing and Forgiveness Essence flavored Tea.

Girlz, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - He's Got This

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him" Psalm 37:7a
    Good morning my gorgeous Sistas,

I pray that you are enjoying this beautiful Lord's Day. I am learning to rest in Jesus. What about you?

    The Pruning Process

"All things work together for those who loves God."  Romans 8:28
    Good morning Sistas,
One day I asked a friend from my church, which has a lawn business, if he knew how to prune or trim a tree. I had a plum tree in my front yard that was hanging over my yard onto the sidewalk. I imagined that my friend would contact me to discuss the details in regard to pruning the tree. Sistas, he never contacted me.

Unload Be true to Yourself, Be true To Him

"But be careful about followingTHEM." Matthew 23:3 Inspirational Bible
    Matthew 23- The Message Bible
Thanks so much for these will never know how big of a help they are. This particular one reminded me of Ezekiel and the valley of the dry bones...I can remember thinking what's wrong with me can these (my) dry bones live? the words of Ezekiel "Lord you know.

Building Up One Another With An End In Mind - Seeds Of Hope - The Power of An Encouraging Word

"From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." Ephesians 4:16

Good morning my precious Brothas and Sistas,

In my study time this morning I found that nearly every building that is custom designed and constructed, often requires a long time to complete. There are so many intricate details that are not only involved in the planning process but there are intricate details involved in watching the actual building take form.

Do You Have A Saul Mentality?

"As they danced, they sang: "Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands." I Samuel 18: 7

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Brothas and Sistas, some people have a Saul mentality. This Saul mentality stems from them not wanting to see others excel in what God has called them to. They see another Brotha or Sistas' potential and will do anything to stop their destiny from becoming a reality. They also have a tendency to become envious of another persons gifting and they shouldn't because whatever God has called anyone of us to only we can do it.

The Importance of Foreplay In Marital Intimacy Introduction

    Spicy Slow Jam

"She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love." Proverbs 5:19

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

A good friend once told us, "It's important to preheat the oven if you want the biscuits to rise." While watching the "Newlywed Game" a question was posed relating to foreplay within marriage.

Tea Time With Tabby Peace or Pieces Part III

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

    Consider Your Ways

    Good Morning Friends of God,

"Now therefore thus saith the Lord of host; Consider your ways." Haggai 1:5
"Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways." Haggai 1:7

Friends, I have a question for you. Do we obey God and really consider our ways? That's something for us all to think about. That makes me go Hmmm! God raised up Haggai to speak to the rulers and the people about their unacceptable state of affairs in Haggai 1:3-4.

Friends, we all have some things to do or we may need to finish those things that God has already told us to do.

    Why Stress?

"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:25 - 34

    Good Morning,

Saints, why do we stress so much about things we have absolutley no control over. Trials come in our lives to make us stronger by growing our faith in Him. So why should we worry about tomorrow when the Soveriegn Lord of the universe and Our Great Creator is the one who fashioned and ordained tomorrow?

Absolutely nothing we go through takes Him by surprise.

    Armor Up!

    GM Friends of God,

"Now I, Paul, appeal to you with the gentleness and kindness of Christ though I realize you think I am timid in person and bold only when I write from far away. Well I am begging you now so that when I come I wont hath to be bold with those who think we act from human motives." 2 Corinthians 10:1-2

Friends, we are human but we don't wage war as humans do. Like Paul, we have to defend our authority and who we are in Christ Jesus. Another way to out it is, we have to know who we are and whose we are.

    Arise & Go

Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “ARISE, GO to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me. BUT Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD." Jonah 1, 2

    Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,

We serve a God of progression. Whenever God is calling us to something He more than likely has to call us out of some things. He is a God of progression. Let's take a look a Jonah for a minute.

How Much Time Are You Spending With God?

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

It amazes me how we spend so much time doing what we want to do but we never spend enough time with our God. Brothas and Sistas, I have a friend who loves to read and when I say read, she can read a 900 page book in one day. She will get upset if you try talking or asking her too many questions while she is reading.

One day as I was watching her read, I was amazed about her dedication and commitment to reading, as well as her determination in completing her task to finish her book.

    Are You Savoring Every Moment?

 featured in The Dinner Theatre

"Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." James 4:14

Good morning my Brothas and Sistas,
Brothas and Sistas, when we are preoccupied with every day demands we often go through life business as usual. There are times when there are things going on with our spouses such as sickness, tiredness, stress, or even something as simple as spending time with them around people that they enjoy being around eventhough we don't particularly care for the individuals.

Tea Time With Tabby Peace or Pieces Part 2

    Good morning Sistas,

Today we are going to continue to look at how the jig saw puzzle of our hearts and our beliefs about God shape our peace or us falling to pieces. We are going to continue to ask ourselves if we are finding peace in our relationship with Christ or do we always seem to be falling to pieces where we find ourselves searching the missing pieces.

I pray that you each took the time this past week to sit with God, the Father; the giver of all peace.

    Jesus Got You Part II

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way." Psalm 37:23
    Hello Sistas,
It is good to be back with you today. Sistas, as I said before I knew that I needed a change in my life. My sister was saved at the time and was stable with Christ. She did not agree with my lifestyle.

    Don't Box God In

    GM Friends of God,

"In God I will praise His word. In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me." Psalm 56:4

Friends, there is no fear in us when we are trusting in God's word, which is faithful and true. There is no need to worry about what flesh can do. After all to be absent from the body means we will be present with the Lord, for those who know Him personally.

"In God I have put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

When Making a Decision Be Sure To Pray for Wisdom!

Nehemiah 1:4-11 "When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Then I said:
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel.
