Man Up - Who Is Thirsty For God?

"Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.These things I remember as I pour out my soul. How I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng." Psalm 42:4, 5
"God has created each of us with a thirst that only He can quench.

Brothas and Sistas, What Do Your Marital Vows Really Mean To You? - In Sickness and In Health

I, (name), take you (name), to be my lawfully wedded wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer,in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

TeaTime With Tabby - Forgiveness Part VI

"And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Matthew 6:12

    • Forgiveness. Does God really expect it form us?
    • What is in it to forgive those who have hurt me?
    • What does God say in His word about forgiveness?
    • Do any of you hold onto unforgiveness?

    Good morning Sistas,

I hope you each have your cup of tea ready to be filled with God's great and gracious words of love and forgiveness. I don't know about you but my cup needs to be refilled with some of His Healing and Forgiveness Essence flavored Tea.

Girlz, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - He's Got This

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him" Psalm 37:7a
    Good morning my gorgeous Sistas,

I pray that you are enjoying this beautiful Lord's Day. I am learning to rest in Jesus. What about you?

    The Pruning Process

"All things work together for those who loves God."  Romans 8:28
    Good morning Sistas,
One day I asked a friend from my church, which has a lawn business, if he knew how to prune or trim a tree. I had a plum tree in my front yard that was hanging over my yard onto the sidewalk. I imagined that my friend would contact me to discuss the details in regard to pruning the tree. Sistas, he never contacted me.

Unload Be true to Yourself, Be true To Him

"But be careful about followingTHEM." Matthew 23:3 Inspirational Bible
    Matthew 23- The Message Bible
Thanks so much for these will never know how big of a help they are. This particular one reminded me of Ezekiel and the valley of the dry bones...I can remember thinking what's wrong with me can these (my) dry bones live? the words of Ezekiel "Lord you know.

Building Up One Another With An End In Mind - Seeds Of Hope - The Power of An Encouraging Word

"From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." Ephesians 4:16

Good morning my precious Brothas and Sistas,

In my study time this morning I found that nearly every building that is custom designed and constructed, often requires a long time to complete. There are so many intricate details that are not only involved in the planning process but there are intricate details involved in watching the actual building take form.

Do You Have A Saul Mentality?

"As they danced, they sang: "Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands." I Samuel 18: 7

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Brothas and Sistas, some people have a Saul mentality. This Saul mentality stems from them not wanting to see others excel in what God has called them to. They see another Brotha or Sistas' potential and will do anything to stop their destiny from becoming a reality. They also have a tendency to become envious of another persons gifting and they shouldn't because whatever God has called anyone of us to only we can do it.

The Importance of Foreplay In Marital Intimacy Introduction

    Spicy Slow Jam

"She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love." Proverbs 5:19

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

A good friend once told us, "It's important to preheat the oven if you want the biscuits to rise." While watching the "Newlywed Game" a question was posed relating to foreplay within marriage.

Tea Time With Tabby Peace or Pieces Part III

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

    Consider Your Ways

    Good Morning Friends of God,

"Now therefore thus saith the Lord of host; Consider your ways." Haggai 1:5
"Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways." Haggai 1:7

Friends, I have a question for you. Do we obey God and really consider our ways? That's something for us all to think about. That makes me go Hmmm! God raised up Haggai to speak to the rulers and the people about their unacceptable state of affairs in Haggai 1:3-4.

Friends, we all have some things to do or we may need to finish those things that God has already told us to do.

    Why Stress?

"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:25 - 34

    Good Morning,

Saints, why do we stress so much about things we have absolutley no control over. Trials come in our lives to make us stronger by growing our faith in Him. So why should we worry about tomorrow when the Soveriegn Lord of the universe and Our Great Creator is the one who fashioned and ordained tomorrow?

Absolutely nothing we go through takes Him by surprise.

    Armor Up!

    GM Friends of God,

"Now I, Paul, appeal to you with the gentleness and kindness of Christ though I realize you think I am timid in person and bold only when I write from far away. Well I am begging you now so that when I come I wont hath to be bold with those who think we act from human motives." 2 Corinthians 10:1-2

Friends, we are human but we don't wage war as humans do. Like Paul, we have to defend our authority and who we are in Christ Jesus. Another way to out it is, we have to know who we are and whose we are.

    Arise & Go

Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “ARISE, GO to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me. BUT Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD." Jonah 1, 2

    Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,

We serve a God of progression. Whenever God is calling us to something He more than likely has to call us out of some things. He is a God of progression. Let's take a look a Jonah for a minute.

How Much Time Are You Spending With God?

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

It amazes me how we spend so much time doing what we want to do but we never spend enough time with our God. Brothas and Sistas, I have a friend who loves to read and when I say read, she can read a 900 page book in one day. She will get upset if you try talking or asking her too many questions while she is reading.

One day as I was watching her read, I was amazed about her dedication and commitment to reading, as well as her determination in completing her task to finish her book.

    Are You Savoring Every Moment?

 featured in The Dinner Theatre

"Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." James 4:14

Good morning my Brothas and Sistas,
Brothas and Sistas, when we are preoccupied with every day demands we often go through life business as usual. There are times when there are things going on with our spouses such as sickness, tiredness, stress, or even something as simple as spending time with them around people that they enjoy being around eventhough we don't particularly care for the individuals.

Tea Time With Tabby Peace or Pieces Part 2

    Good morning Sistas,

Today we are going to continue to look at how the jig saw puzzle of our hearts and our beliefs about God shape our peace or us falling to pieces. We are going to continue to ask ourselves if we are finding peace in our relationship with Christ or do we always seem to be falling to pieces where we find ourselves searching the missing pieces.

I pray that you each took the time this past week to sit with God, the Father; the giver of all peace.

    Jesus Got You Part II

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way." Psalm 37:23
    Hello Sistas,
It is good to be back with you today. Sistas, as I said before I knew that I needed a change in my life. My sister was saved at the time and was stable with Christ. She did not agree with my lifestyle.

    Don't Box God In

    GM Friends of God,

"In God I will praise His word. In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me." Psalm 56:4

Friends, there is no fear in us when we are trusting in God's word, which is faithful and true. There is no need to worry about what flesh can do. After all to be absent from the body means we will be present with the Lord, for those who know Him personally.

"In God I have put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

When Making a Decision Be Sure To Pray for Wisdom!

Nehemiah 1:4-11 "When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Then I said:
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel.

Words To Live By - Let's Look Into The Spiritual Mirror

    Good morning Friends,

Let's take a close look into our spiritual mirror.
James 1: 22-24 says, "Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself , goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like." Now Friends, we all try to look our very best outwardly, we make sure everything is in place, because we don't want people looking at us crazy.

Moments of Reflection - If You Believe You Shall See His Glory

John 11:40, "Did I not tell you that if you believe you shall see the glory of God."
    Good morning Sistas,
Sistas, it does not matter what dreams the Lord has spoken into your spirit; just believe and they shall come to pass. The Lord will never make a promise that He never intends to keep. If He spoke it, it shall be done.
"Though the vision is yet for an appointed time; It hastens towards the goal and it will not fail.

Do We Really Have A Listening Ear?

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

    Never Ending Love Affair

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

I have a saying that I often share with people when asked, "How do you two manage to stay married and in love for so many years?" Well the answer to that question is, "Every now and then you need to change the drummers beat."

Brothas and Sistas, when it comes to what your motivation is for staying in love and married for a long period of time, the answer should be as I usually say, "It's like we just got married.

Tea Time With Tabby- “Are We Full of Peace or Just Falling to Pieces?” Part I

    Good morning Sistas,

I pray that you have each found yourselves resting in God’s glorious splendor of peace and not falling to pieces. In a recent bible, study we were asked a similar question. At first I thought, and maybe you think the same, that life is a jigsaw puzzle but I am depending on God to grant me peace so that I don’t fall to pieces to much of the time.

Then we were asked a unique question that made me wonder if my first answer was accurate or not. It took a lot more thought and provoking conversation to answer this next question.

    Jesus Got You

"However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" I Corinthians 2:9

    Hello Sistas,

My Testimony today is "Jesus got you" no matter where you are or where you have been, He is right there holding your hand, drying your tears, and bringing you through those rough times even when you can't see your way through.

Oh, let's see where do I begin. I married my high school sweetheart because I was pregnant with my daughter.

    Love Endures

    GM Friends of God,

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love)." I Corinthians 13:13

Friends, we all want people to love us. There are books, songs, and movies about love. What amazes me is that some of us are so full of hate. Some of us hate our own family members; mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and so on, all because we don't want to suffer long.

"Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.

Words To Live By - Sistas, Stand Strong In The Faith

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."
    1 Corinthians 15:58
"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.” Abraham Lincoln
    Stand in faith
Even when you can’t see your way
    Stand in faith
Even when you feel like you can’t face another day
    Stand in faith
Even when the tears want to flow from your eyes
    Stand in faith
Knowing that our God will always provide

    He Gets The Glory Everytime

"So Jacob left alone and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. When the man saw that he could not overpower him he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. The man said, "Let me go for it is daybreak." But Jacob replied, "I will not let you go until you bless me." Then the man asked, "What is your name?" "Jacob", he replied.

    What's Hindering Your Spiritual Growth?

"being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart. Ephesians 4:18

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

I'm reminded of the time my wife and I went to visit Luray Caverns while on vacation at Massanutten Resort. If you have never been to Luray Caverns, it's truly a wonderful sight to see. While we were in the caverns we noticed that there were so many different forms and shapes of rock formations and it was interesting to know how they were formed.

    Silence Is Golden

    Slow Jam

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,
There have been times that we have encountered Christian couples who fail to recognize the tone in which they speak to one another. Many times we can diffuse a heated situation if we would first learn to choose our words wisely.
Sometimes because of selfishness, lack of rest, and anger we say words that we should not say and after these words are spoken there is no way to take them back.

The Tea Cup of Loss and Sorrow to the Tea Cup of Redemption

    Good Morning Sistas,

I pray that everyone has been enjoying quiet time with the Lord and asking Him which brew He would have you choose each day. Note, not which brew life and circumstances is leading you to choose. That my dear Sisters will always wind you up floating in your own tea of misery and sorrow.

Now there are times in our lives when it seems that the only brews that the Father has placed in our Tea Cupboard are Brews of Sorrow. Life happenstance that leaves you feeling like the joy of life can't be found in you Tea Cup or your cupboard.

Moments Of Reflection - The Violent Take The Kingdom By Force

"From the days of John the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force." Matt.11:12
    Good Morning Sistas,
I have some questions for you. Are you doing all that is takes to pursue a life lived in Him? Are you passionately pursuing Him and His kingdom? Back in the days of John people were actually knocked down and trod upon because so many had an absolute passion to pursue Jesus and the words that He spoke.

    He Is Your Hiding Place

    Good morning Friends of God,

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.' Psalm 91:1, 2

Friends, when we abide we live in continue covering of our Lord. He is our hiding place and He alone will keep us in perfect peace. As we trust and hide under His shadow.

No matter what the problem is or how hard it may seem, God's got it!

    Get Rid of The Foxes

"Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom." Solomon 2:15

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Are there things in your lives Satan is using to hinder growth? He is so cunning in his approach that often we are being drawn into things that take us away from the power, presence, position, and precedence of the Holy Spirit and don't even know it. Let's look at the KJV of this text.

I've Got Something To Boast About

As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”
    II Corinthians 10:17
"I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad." Psalm 34:1, 2
    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,
Brothas and Sistas, there are many things that we can boast about. Some of us boast about our knowledge, our material wealth , our talents or our jobs.

Are You Trusting In The Lord?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5, 6

    Hello Brothas & Sistas,

I am finding that we as Christians want to take on salvation but my question is; "Do we really know what it means to be a servant of the Lord?" We must keep in mind that God places us in situations that line up according to His will and purpose for our lives.

    "Be Encouraged"

Old Skool Song. Sistas, Guess Who?
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.

Tea Time with Tabby "The Brew Of We Don't Believe He Is Listening"

    Good morning Sistas,

I pray that each of you have been experiencing a refreshing time with the Lord each day.  I also pray you are certain that He is alive in you and is listening to you and your most loud or most quiet heart requests.

Dear Sistas, this is a brew I think as women we often are afraid to speak of or share openly. I know in my home, church, or circle of friends I often feel like I need to be the one that has it together, that everyone's else's brews of sadness, loss, or pain are greater than mine.

    The God of Abundant Supply

"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." Psalm 34:10

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

We serve a God of abundant supply. There is nothing that our God does not have that He is not willing to supply when we seek Him and His will above all else. He makes daily provision for His children just as any loving father should. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Finding Joy In Discovering the Treasures Indwelt In His Word

    GM Friends of God,

Where would we be without Jesus? Let's take a moment to really think about that. Ephesians 2:12 sums it up well. "At that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world."

Friends, we can never thank God enough or even put our thanks into words, as much as we would like too. Sometimes it's difficult to find words that express the emotions of our hearts but we can use biblical characters from the bible to show us how to talk to God through every season of our lives and tell him just how grateful we are.

    It's Not About Our Haters

"One more thing, friends: Pray for us. Pray that the Master’s Word will simply take off and race through the country to a groundswell of response, just as it did among you and pray that we’ll be rescued from these scoundrels who are trying to do us in. I’m finding that not all “believers” are believers. But the Master never lets us down. He’ll stick by you and protect you from evil." 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 MSG

    Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Brothas and Sistas, not everybody is who they say they are.

Christ Our Advocate - He Is Our Defense

                                                           I John 2:1

"Sistas, Wait On Him - God's Timing Is Everything and It's Always Best"

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

In The Mix - Blended Families Part III Conclusion

Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.” Philippians 2:2
    Good Morning Brothas and Sistas,
I must admit that when I looked at Part 1& 2 of “Blended Families” I had to giggle to myself, because I was thinking, "Where was Minister Tony and Michelle with all this wisdom when I was making all the wrong decisions early on in my marriage?

Tea Anyone? Sistas, I Can Relate..... Can You Relate?

    Tea Anyone?
In Response To: When You Must Make A Decision Pray For Faith and Wisdom
"Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.

    God’s Word is Our Foundation

'' For if you wonder beyond the teaching of Christ, you will leave God behind; while If you are loyal to Christ's teachings, you will have God too." (2 John 9, TLB )
    Good morning Friends of God,
Friends, we are so living in the last days. God has warned us against false prophets and false teachers all the way through the bible. The word of God says, "They will come to you in sheeps' clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

One - Lord Make Us One

“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Ephesians 4: 2-6

One Night With The King - Sistas, It's All In The Delivery

    Esther 2:15-21
    Good morning my beautiful Sistas,
I hope that you are doing remarkably well on this amazing morning. We will be continuing with the story of Esther. It is one of the best love stories of the bible. Now let's get back to our romantic story from His written word. Let's see where did we leave off. Oh, here we go................
