What Stands Between You and the Abundant Life?

"The Blessings of the Promised Land Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it; And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey. For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

Moments of Reflection - Believe God For The Impossible!

"For nothing shall be impossible with God." Luke 1:37

Good morning to all,

Sistas, we have gotta believe God for the impossible! No night is ever so dark that He can't shine His light into it. No valley is ever too deep that He can't lift us out of it. No prayer is ever too big that He can't answer it. Think and dream BIG! He is the God of possibility for every seemingly impossible situation.

Words To Live By - He Is All Of These Things And More

"Jesus is light, there is no darkness in Him, if we claim to have fellowship with Him, let us walk in the light. My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense. Jesus Christ, the righteous One." (1 John 2:1-2 )

Good morning Friends,

Friends, we should be forever grateful that when we sin, and sometimes we all do, we have a defense, or protection.

Sistas, What Is That You Have In Your Hand?

Good morning my tenacious and talented Kingdom Sistas,

I Kings 10:1-13

The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom. Matthew 12:42b

"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

He Is Faithful

"The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." I Thessalonians 5:24

Good morning Brothas & Sistas,

I have a question for you. Why do we make excuses for progressing further in ministry. When we make excuses we simply limit what God can do with all we have and where we are.

A lot of us look at the fact that we are not qualified enough. Brothas and Sistas, don't you know that eventhough we might not be as skillful as what we think we may need to be, neither were some of the men and women that are in the bible?

The Wounds of Divorce - Personal Testimony & Encouragement Part I

http://youtu.be/yyH6UcJBJas
Slow Jam

Good Morning Friends of God,

One of the most difficult times in my life was going through a divorce, I hated it! And still do! So I just wanted to encourage someone who may be going through this same thing.

Divorce is a shattering experience to all involved and it's wounds heal slowly. Friends, because of what I experienced I don't wish to see or hear about divorce for anyone. Even more so for Christian marriages.

Teatime with Tabby The Gates Part 3

Good morning Sistas,

It's my pleasure and joy to be back with you all once again this week. I praise the Lord, our God for awakening us one more day and giving me the opportunity to share with you. I pray that you have each been seeking His face in times of struggles and times of great joy. Lets grab our Tea Cups and see what He has for us today. What amazing brew of truth and hope He desires to pour into each of us.

Lord, I ask that the words that wind up on this page are not mine but rather Yours.

Healthy Fear vs. Unhealthy Fear

GM Friends of God,

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:7

I will be sharing my testimony with you about how I struggled with fear.I remember all the times I lived in fear, whether it was of things I imagined or real circumstances. I had fear of living alone and what could happen, fear of change and not knowing what to expect, and many more fears. I'm so glad I'm free from ALL fear. I have been free for many years now; never to go back to those unhealthy fears.

Listen With The Intent To Understand

"I think I'll learn more from listening. Anything I would say I already know." — Anon.

"A servant will not be instructed by words alone; For though he understands, there will be no response." Prov. 29:19

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Not too long ago I had a conversation with a friend about how often the intent of our words can be misconstrued. Oftentimes we will speak words to the listener and we intend to say one thing but they will inadvertently hear another.

Faith and Works

Good morning Friends,

"What good is it, my brother, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him,. Go I wish you well; keep warm and fed,'' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

Friends, we must put our faith to action with our deeds.

Don't Go Backwards, Go Forward In the Kingdom of God

"Therefore lets move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death and of faith in God." Hebrews 6:1

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Brothas and Sistas, there is nothing worse than peddling backwards ; in the end it gets you absolutely nowhere. After all how can we move forward in the things of God when we are constantly relying on what we see in our rear view mirror?

What Is Grace?

“Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

"How The Lord Lead Me To My Husband Part IV" - Turning Point

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Here is the final part to my testimony of how the Lord  lead me to my husband. Let's pick up where we left off.

.................He continued to say, "I must confess I am also praying for a Christian wife.

Tea Time With Tabby - Gates, Grace, and God

Good morning Sistas,

I pray that everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend and had a great time celebrating our freedoms. I just want to commit our time together this morning to our amazing Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray that His words hit the keys and do the typing. May you be blessed and challenged by today's continued message on how to grow closer to God and how to walk an authentic Christian life.

Last week we talked about the first Gate we entered through on our way to those Pearly White Gates.

Make A Joyful Noise

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness:come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord is God:it is he that hath made us & not we ourselves; we are his people & the sheep of his pasture." Ps.100:1-3

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Do you serve the Lord out of obligation or joy? Serving Him is done with ease when we have developed a genuine relationship with Him and have a joyful heart leading us.

Why Did This Happen To Me?

Good morning Friends of God,

"Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust of men, but to the will of God." 2 Peter 4:1-2

Friends, one of life's most common questions of the day and perhaps it is the one question that is also on your mind at this very moment, "Why did this happen to me?

Moments Of Reflection - It Is The Truth that Makes Us Free!

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

It is only His truth thatmakesus free. The definition of make is to cause to be or become; to bring into existence by shaping or modifying. His truth brings about a change in us by allowing us to be or become more like Him.

Are You A Full Resevoir or An Empty Cistern?

"But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil" (Psalm 92:10)

"To be filled with the Spirit is to have the Spirit fulfilling in us all that God intended Him to do when he placed Him there. To be filled is not the problem of getting more of the Spirit; it is rather the problem of the Spirit getting more of us.

Good morning to my free flowing and Spirit filled Sistas,

The Importance of Waiting - "Restoration Is Possible" - Conclusion

"In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again." I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I, whom you have redeemed.

The Importance of Waiting Part III

"Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry." (ESV) I Peter 4:1-3

In continuing with our series, "The Importance of Waiting" let's look at the medical and physical aspects of our children not waiting until marriage before having sex.

"The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." Genesis 2:23

Hello My Sistas, I am returning with the final part of my testimony leading up to the chain of events that lead me to my husband. So my new church family were very supportive to me! The older women of the church bonded so nicely with me and I with them.

Tea Time With Tabby -" Gates, Grace, and God" Part 1

Good Morning Sistas,

I pray that as you are reading this you are hearing and sensing God's love for you. His desire is to bring you through all the gates of life to where you are finally standing in His Presence one on one. As it is written in the Old Testament the high priests once a year would have the privilege to enter into the Holy of Holies, surrounded by God's physical presence. I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. Like the artist asks, "Will I stand or fall to my knees singing Holy, Holy, Holy Lord?

He Turns Filthy Into Clean - Return To Your First Love

"To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances; to seek him, the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement." Raphael Simon

"I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked man, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false, you have persevered & have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

What Are We Doing With What We Already Have?

"If you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? & if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?" Luke 16:11-12

Good morning Saints,

I was talking to the Lord some time ago about provision in some necessary areas. He began to share with me He had already made provision in the areas that I was seeking Him for but I just needed to tap into what He had already provided.

Forgetting Those Things Which Are Behind

Good morning friends of God,

"Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 3:13-14)

Moving forward friends. I have had so many bad things happen in my past life and I did some wrong things. I'm sure you have too friends?Though I've learned a lot from my past, I've  moved on; forward. It's just like Paul said I may not grasp or, understand all or any of the past, but for me friends, it's all good, because I'm not that same person and neither are you.

He Makes Good On His Promises

"By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise." Heb. 11:9

Good morning Saints,

Whenever we get a chance my husband and I take great delight in blessing our children. We will often make a promise to bless them with a particular item that they have their hearts set on. They eagerly wait on the promise to be fulfilled with great anticipation.

The Importance of Waiting Part II

Spoken Word Poetry

"But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself." Proverbs 6:32

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Let's continue with our series. Another reason that we should tell our children to wait until marriage before having sex is the repercussions it may have on them emotionally if they have sex ahead of time.

Emotionally - Quite often our children will become depressed after they have given up their virginity and given themselves over to another person especially when that individual chooses to be with someone else other than them afterwards.

How The Lord Lead Me To My Husband Part II - Ooops, Pit Stop - Playa From The Himalayas

We deeply apologize to those of you that were waiting for the continuation of Sis. Lakita's testimony. Here you go!

"My soul, wait silently for God alone, My expectation is from Him." Psalm 27:14

Good Morning my Sistas,

Please allow me to continue with my testimony on how the Lord lead me to my husband. After I went back outside to sit on my front porch, a car finally pulls up in front of my house!

The Importance of Waiting Part I

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Today I am going to share with the singles as well as the married couples because this is profitable for singles, singles with children, and married couples with children. A few months ago I was granted the privilege of sharing with some Sistas as to why our young men and women should wait to have sex. It was interesting to find out that a lot of our adults don't see why they should tell their kids to wait until they are married as well as explain why they should wait.

Brothas and Sistas Don't Be Stingy - Pay It Forward - He Desires To Increase YOU

Good morning my awesome Brothas and Sistas,

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."Luke 6:38

Brothas and Sistas, who is it that the Lord has laid onYOURheart to be a blessing to today? Which person inYOURneighborhood, grocery store, job, or church needs an encouraging word?

Tea Time With Tabby "Do We Really Trust God the Way We Say We Do"

Good morning Sistas,

I pray that you have each had a week where you could sense that God was by your side if it were times of joy or sorrow. Sistas, today I would like to talk about something that I had not put a whole lot of thought into until I was given a reading list for the summer. For a class I am taking this fall. That is what it really means when we declare that we are Christians.

You see when we make that statement of faith there is a story behind the scenes to the words and declaration we are making.

He's Working It Out For You

Good morning friends of God.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." (Rom 8:28)

Let's think about this friends, "All things!" That one statement makes me go Hmmm. I love it friends because I understand that just like Jesus suffered I will suffer too and so will you. His word teaches us this. 1 Peter 4:1 says, "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin"

Our Comforter

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Just recently one of my husband's co-workers received a phone call stating that his wife's son had committed suicide based on a false accusation. He was being accused of something he did not do. Unfortunately he chose a permanent solution for a temporary problem.

Saints, there are times when we feel that there is no way out of the situation that life has set before us but our Lord is always there advocating and working things out on our behalf.

If Only You Believe

Good morning friends of God,

Jesus said unto him, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord I believe; help thou mine unbelief." (Mark 9:23-24)

Friends, here's a father crying out for his son to be freed from a dumb and deaf spirit; a spirit of the devil. The disciples could not cast him out. Jesus told the man to bring the boy to Him.

Friends, my question today is what is your

It's Time To Get Rid Of Some Stuff

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. (Psalm 55:22).

"What can be lighter than a burdens which takes our burdens away, and a yoke which bears up the bearer himself?  -Bernard of Clairvaux"

Good morning Sistas,

Sistas, have you ever gone to the airport and been afraid to have your suitcase weighed because you knew you may be over the acceptable weight limit?

God Has Great Plans For You

"I know the plans I have for you." saith the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

God has great plans for you. And yes, God's plan for our lives is always different than ours. He knows what's best for us as well as what's not. Remember the story of Moses, God knew the plans for Him from his birth to his death. Moses was already being molded and shaped by God in spite of what Moses thought he was not ordained to do in his life.

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14

Good morning Sistas,

In the year of 1985, I was still single at the time, but I was praying for a godly husband. My father along with the rest of my family knew that I was praying for a man of God's own choosing so without me even knowing, my dad, bless his heart, decided to help me out.

Tea Time With Tabby - How Is Your Brew These Days Weak or Strong & Fortified?

Good Morning Sistas,

I hope and pray that you have all been well and know that you are loved child and heir to the Most High King, Jesus Christ. Today I must confess that my Tea has been a bit on the weak side this past week and coming into today. You may be asking yourself, "How could Tea that Christ pours be considered a weak brew?" Well Sistas, that's where you have me. I have been brewing my own Tea of strength lately, making for a very overwhelmed and weak brew.

Friends, Let's Check Our Walk

http://youtu.be/ObGzri9SuKY

GM Friends of God,

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:15, 16

Friends, I love this verse. It was and still is one of the scriptures that made me take a careful look at my life years ago and even now as I walk before the Lord. It's very convicting when I think about those that are watching my walk.

Paul used the word, circumspectly. It's simple meaning is defined as very careful.

Forever Young

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

The song, "Forever Young" was playing on the radio the other day. The thought "youthfulness is in the eye of the beholder" came across my mind. It is so true that youthfulness is often a state of mind. No matter how much we age, how we respond determines our vitality.

I often hear the youthful at heart say, "Age, aint nothing but a number."
My husband often reminds me that he's not getting old, I am.

Fatherhood Make A Lifetime of Difference Part III

Good morning Brothas and Sistas and Happy Father's Day To All Of Our Dads..........................................

Let's conclude our mini series which honors all of the fathers. Brothas, eventhough some of us may not have had the best examples as dads we must still forgive according to Matthew 6:14, 15. For some of us, we may have entered into fatherhood with the wrong expectations.

We may be carrying a burden of anger, hurt, very low self esteem, or total resentment.

Fatherhood Makes A Lifetime Of A Difference - Part II

"Fathers, don't aggravate your children. If you do, they will become discouraged and quit trying." - Colossians 3:21

"Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad."
- Anne Geddes

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

I understand that there are some bad dads out there. As I stated yesterday some of us may be angry or resentful towards our own dads because of the way we may have been treated by them or just because of the example of fatherhood they may have displayed before us.

Fatherhood Makes A Lifetime Of Difference - Part I

Hello My Sistas and Brothas,

This message is mainly directed to the Brothas, not that you, Sistas haven't experienced any of what I'm about to say, but in respect to Father's Day, I would like to encourage the fathers this weekend because one of the Brothas reading this might become a father one day. Over the next three days, I want to encourage the Brothas to be the men that God has called them to be in spite of their difficulties with their dads.

Men, Brothas, Fathers.

What Kingdom Sistas Need To Know About Their Kingdom Men - The Weight of Responsibility That He Bears

"Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." Ephesians 5:22-23

Sistas, most men have a demanding work schedule and it would help if you would understand this and work with him instead of criticizing him. He does not need insults coming from you as soon as he comes in the door. No husband wants to come home to criticism. He already has a lot on him because of responsibilities at work which includes his work schedule.

Tea Time With Tabby - What You Are AbleTo Walk Away From Will Determine What God Is Able To Bring You To

Good Morning Sistas,

I pray that you have each been encouraged by the Father this week and one another and that you have been shining up your Tea Cups and sharing some of God's amazing Brews with friends and family. Today our Brew comes from a quote a friend sent me to after seeing it on her phone. The quote is "What you are able to walk away from will determine what God can bring you too."

Sistas, at first I thought to myself, "He Is God. He directs my steps.

Our Rescue Is In His Presence

http://youtu.be/D4AiS718neg

"As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you O God. I thirst  for God, the living God." (Psalm 42:1-2)

Good Morning Friends of God,

Friends, how often do we really hunger and thirst for God? David got so discouraged that it caused him to be truly thirsty for God. Isn't that typical of us? We don't feel or have a strong desire for Him until God puts us in a position of desperate need, then we call on Him.

Friends, as we seek God's presence, He may allow us to become extremely thirsty for Him.

Good morning Sistas.

I've got to tell you, recently I had a rude awakening. I woke up to see that I am overweight. Sistas, you know the sad part about it is that I’ve been overweight for 29 years.

Moments Of Reflection - Our God Is A Consuming Fire!

"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28-29

Brothas and Sistas,

No demon in hell can stop the plans of God! No demon or force from hell can crumble the Kingdom of God! And since we are of His Kingdom we have been deemed unstoppable; a force to be reckoned with!

The definition of unstoppable reads impossible to stop or prevent.
